I love to see the summer skies
Fill with flocks of dragonflies
Who dance their daily exercise
Right before our summer eyes.
They practice their sleek pirouettes
In sunny little minuets
Then cast their fading silhouettes
Across a field of open nets.

What a wonderful poem. I suppose I am a little biased, but I love the thought of "dancing" butterflies. And the fact that they are doing pirouettes!
Thanks, Kerry.
You ARE a dancing butterfly!
And a pirouetting picture book poet to boot!
