August

"Sunset" by Chip Ghigna
Oil on wood, 32" x 12"

August

Like clipper ships
On sky blue seas,
The days sail by
On summer’s breeze.

We hold on tight
As time stands still
And ride the waves
Toward autumn’s chill.

  6. What can I say...well done, Charles. Saying so much in such a little space is one of the reasons I love poetry!
