my free house
my me house
where I come to ponder
to wonder
to look up at the sky
where I come to daydream
to play dream
to watch the clouds roll by
where the air is fresher
no pressure
where treetops swish and sway
where I come to look at
books that
take me far away

Great poem. Thanks for joining the PF gang this week!
Thanks, Jama! My pleasure! See what you started. ;-)
Here by way of Gotta Book and I love your poems. fresher/pressure is my favorite part.
Thanks.
Thank you, Jacqui! Good to see you here. I appreciate your kind comment.
I've been a fan of your poems for many years. I've read your book of Love Poems many times over the past 8 or 9 years. The poem, "So Many Things" is one of my favorites.
Thank you for writing A Fury of Motion. It's one of the few books of poetry my eighth grade boys ask to check out. They tell me it's because the poems are so realistic and remind them of people they know. Finding poems middle school boys actually want to read is difficult. I hope you'll consider writing another collection for boys. By the way, the girls like the poems too! I can't wait to share your blog with my new crop of kids in August!
Lovely Charles! :) e
Brings back memories. Didn't have a tree house, but had a tree with a favorite perch almost everywhere we lived.
