Stella Saw a Star

Stella saw a star,

The brightest of the night.

Stella closed her eyes

And wished with all her might.

Stella saw a dancer

Swaying like a swan,

Spinning in the moonlight,

Dancing in the dawn.

Stella saw a mirror

Beside the ballet barre.

Stella closed her eyes--

Stella saw a star.

Awww... soft place in my heart for Stella... esp. as she's the name of one of the main characters in my 2012 novel Don't Feed the Boy! Thanks for sharing, Chuck.

Hi Charles, such a simple and moving piece. The photo is.. well, all I can say is "I saw a star" too with that beautiful awestruck face reflected in the mirror. =) Thank you for sharing this.
