The Silky Sax

A flash of brass,

a nightingale,

a songbird free

to tell her tale,

the silky sax,

a backwards S,

softly sings

her sweet caress.

Great poem! Are you working on a collaborative ekphrastic book about music? Please do!

Thank you, Tabatha! What a great idea! A collaborative ekphrastic book about music! What fun!

My son's recent paintings of musical instruments have inspired some of my poems the past couple of months. Chip has been doing a series of oils and acrylics on wood boards. We have talked about the possibility of doing a book together. This might be the one! Now if we can get an editor as excited about this as we are! ;-)

You have a talented son, Charles. Like his father. Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks, Steven. I'll pass along your kudos to Chip.

Thanks, too, for your good work in getting us involved in poetry's new best friend, PACYA!
